AI Classification - Will you switch it on?

Would you switch AI classification on?

It's easy to tell most of the time… but sometimes it’s on the line. Do we even need to classify? This would be my simple approach. Select your text and have view a hover over with a chance percentage.

AI Classifier

When for?

- Job Applications

- Linkedin Posts

- Click Bait Articles

- Tweets / X’s

- Schoolwork

OpenAI have been working on a classifier trained to distinguish between AI-written and human-written text, however put the release on pause due to it’s “low rate of accuracy”.

“Our evaluations on a “challenge set” of English texts, our classifier correctly identifies 26% of AI-written text (true positives) as “likely AI-written,” while incorrectly labeling human-written text as AI-written 9% of the time (false positives)”

It’s going to be a challenge for AI to recognise itself in the mirror.

Let’s see the human brains switched back on and let authenticity take centre stage with original writing.

Perhaps when ready, we’ll have a simple settings switch or chrome plugin to activate something similar to the image above.

A simple mouse hover over that gives a percentage for likeliness of being generated by AI after selecting.

Who would find this useful? and who would be in trouble?
